Apply sunscreen at least 30 minutes before going out in the sun to allow for maximum absorption and protection.

Reapply sunscreen every 2 hours. Apply more frequently after swimming, sweating, or toweling.
To protect against UVA and UVB rays be sure to use a broad spectrum sunscreen.
Use an SPF of 15 or higher to help reduce 
the risk of skin cancer, and don’t neglect sensitive areas such as your ears, nose, shoulders, chest, and neck.
If you’re taking a swim or sweating, 
use a water resistant sunscreen to 
keep you safe longer.
Even on cloudy days, 90% of UV rays 
can still get through and leave you fried.
Reflection off snow and water can 
increase sun exposure by up to 50%.
UV levels increase 4% for every 
300m in altitude.
We know it’s tough, but try to limit your time in the sun from 10am to 2pm during the hot summer months.
Whenever possible, cover up with clothing - including a broad-brimmed hat and UV blocking sunglasses. Shade can reduce UV exposure by 50% or more.
Keep newborns out of the sun. Sunscreen should only be used on children over the age of 6 months
